We returned again this year with another sister that turned 60 years this year. Our first stop today was Toby's in Hinckley, MN where we got the famous carmel and cinnamon rolls. Upon entering Duluth, we took the skyline scenic route along the ridge going towards downtown. We stopped at Enger Park and walked up to the top.
Not only is the structure tall, but it stands alone on top of hill. Made for some very windy conditions at the top. Here's sister, Romey doing her best "Donald Trump" impersonation with sister, Renell. Yes, we are having some laughs!
Here's a view of the park below with people having a picnic and Duluth downtown in the distance.
Had lunch at St. Benedict's English pub on the northside of Duluth and headed towards our destination. Just had to stop along the way and get a photo or two.
At the resort by Two Harbors, we enjoyed a dip in the pool and hot tub and sat around having some girl talk. At dinner, Renell ordered a Diet Coke and a shot of cranberry juice. Interesting looking "shot glass" here.
After dinner, headed out to the shoreline.
Now we have seen the full moon rising over Lake Superior (awesome sight) and we have heard that there is Northern Lights siting possible for tonight. We're trying to decide how to do this....sleep in shifts, set the alarm for 2 a.m., stay awake or just.....dream about it!
