Sedona is Special

If you are into the New Age stuff, you have probably heard about Sedona, Arizona.  It's the Red Rock area and Vortex country.  I looked up in Wikipedia the word "vortex" and I still am not sure why this area is "famous" for it's vortex.  But, I do know this much....this area is beautiful!

Lots of rock formation to view and now we're sitting on the balcony of our hotel waiting for the rocks to turn redder due to the sunset.  An old photography trick to look away from the sunset and you may see some of the best views in the clouds and landscape as it captures the last rays of the sunshine.

Mountains are awesome and most of them are gray granite or white limestone with an occasional greenery covered mountain.  But the red formations just stand out and make a person feel happy and special.

Here's a couple of photos to enjoy!

 Bell Rock

Cathedral Rock from one direction looks like a solid mass of rock.

From another direction, you see the different rock formations

A view from our hotel above Sedona

Oak Canyon, north of Sedona.   Look at the dinosaur that came crawling out of the canyon.  ;)

We saw snow in Oak Canyon

Good night, sleep tight.
