Memories - Old and New

A couple of days ago I shared a "poster" on facebook....."Take vacations...go as many places as you can...you can always make money, you can't always make memories."

Today in New York, we made some new memories and were reminded of old memories.  New York City is.....fun, loud, quiet, people, yellow taxis, expensive, great food....etc.

We bought two-days passes to hop on and hop off the bus in NYC.  After walking around (Rayna read map wrong), we finally found our start point for the double-decker bus.  It was a great day weather-wise and here are some photos from our bus trip.

The Igloo building

Spires and poles reaching for the sky

I call this the Wave building

Yes, trees do grown on rooftops and I was surprised by how many water "towers" there were on rooftops.

Scene from the top of the double decker bus.  You can see how close to trees we got.  In fact one branch whipped me in the mouth, as I was busy looking down at map.  Guess I need to keep a "stiff upper lip" in NYC.

Lots of yellow cabs!

We  spent some time in Central Park.  Absolutely a precious gem in the middle of the city! Seeing this and taking a horse and carriage ride was on my Bucket List.  Done & so thankful!  Making new memories.

Reflected on old memories when we went to Ground Zero and took in the infinity reflecting pools in the "footprint" of the two World Trade Centers.

Here is the pool with the 9/11 memorial building on right and the Freedom Tower on left middle.

It was a wonderful day!
